This photograph was used as the cover image for the conference volume "Zwischen Angst und Hoffnung" (Psychosozial-Verlag, 2024) and served as the central visual motif for the 2024 annual conference of the Deutsche Psychoanalytische Gesellschaft (DPG).
It was featured on the conference website, in the printed program, and throughout the event venue as the defining visual element.
The image was selected by the conference committee as a visual reflection of the theme of the conference "fear, regression, disintegration - and hope?" and the wish to reflect on the depressingly worsening crises of the present and how psychoanalysis can respond to them.
